Fisher Models 1/32 RB-51 "Red Baron"

Postby Adam the Akrodude » Wed Apr 23, 2014 5:16 pm

From a specially arranged last run of 6 of these amazing models, I have one left. Cost is $260.00. (Don't worry Knotty, your second one is safety put aside!).

These are a extremely limited edition and this specially arranged run will pretty well be it. So if you have a interest in air racers, the RB-51 is certainly one of the most famous and a spectacular aeroplane. Assembly looks to be pretty easy and the finish and detail amazing. It would also be a great collectors kit, as it's sure to appreciate.

Please PM me if interested.

G'day Adam,
I am one of the proud RB-51 owners, (and it is just a STUNNING kit to behold!!!), and I just want to publicly thank you for going to the trouble of arranging this very limited production run of this magnificent model from the manufacturer.
To talk any manufacturer into re-opening the "production line" once a model has completed it's production run is really quiet a feat when you think about it. Well done and thanks again mate, I have a real respect for blokes who say they are going to do something....and then do it!!!. The RB-51 takes pride-of-place in my stash!!

Ah only too happy to assist fellow "Aerosexuals" Ray! "Eric the Great" is pretty thrilled to now own the last of this batch, which are very likely the last of these Fisher RB's to land in this country. Big salute to Knotty to picking up two of these kits! It's always somewhat reassuring to meet people who have been bitten harder by this aeroplane "bug"! :)

Now, how many will be finished for Expo? We must start a "RB-51 Group Build".

I think I will practise on my newly-acquired Revell 1:32 P-51 Racer "Miss America" first, (at $11.00 USD how can I go wrong :D , and she will be in good company sitting next to other 1:32 Racing Mustangs). My fear with the Fisher "Red Baron" is that I don't do this superb kit justice. I might even wait to see if Eric shares his build with us so I can learn as he goes. I will also shortly have the Heriatge 1:32 "Voodoo" Racing Mustang joining my ever-growing 1:32 civil/racing aircraft stash.

PS: this 1:32 thing has GOT to stop....I now find myself with 1:32 Piper Cubs, Gliders, and Air Racers. THANKS very much for passing on this "disease" Adam and Eric :? . How did I all of a sudden find myself up to my proverbials in "old man" scale kits???
