Dreamlifter

Hi guys!
A very good friend sent me these 3Dprinted parts for building the Dreamlifter in 1/144th scale. It was designed and printed by him except for engines and wheels, wich are from Braz (I think). Parts are printed perfectly with some very nice details. It also has a full interior. I'm really exited to build this!

I made some progress on this one. Fitting all pieces inside was challenging but it worked. Not much will be seen unfortunately.

Nice detail there. I'd be interested on one of those sets :-)

My friend wants to see if it's buildable first. He'll cosider selling it after that.

I think that's a very wise move. There is already a ton of stuff out there which makes promises it cannot deliver on.

Not sure if Ray Engineer is on this board, but he flies the LCF on occasion for Atlas. Knows a lot about the 747 as well as the 737.

With the way this model is designed, it makes it a bit more dificoult to build. Sometimes I think building a ship in a bottle would be easier. Masking and painting the interior is a challenge. Fuselage sections were a bit deformed, so I drilled holes in mating surfaces and inserted metal rods to make it easier to align and have a sronger join. The interior is now finished and fuselage sections are ready to be glued together. The hard part is over, I think.
