TOR

So you got me thinking, TOR....the reason I have a few C172s in the stash is pretty simple - I learnt to fly in one, and I have a bit of a soft spot for them. Some time ago, I ventured back to where it all began - Kyneton Aero Club - and took some reference photos of VH-ABW, the first real love of my life. I was very happy to see that she was still flying, and hope to strap her on again one day..
Anyhow, many years ago the CFI at Kyneton retired. To mark the occasion I built ABW from the ESCI kit and presented it to him. Since then, I've wanted one for myself....so here goes.
Nothing started just yet, and I'll have to do decals, but here's a pic of the old girl. I'll be building her as I remember her from the mid 80s, which means the interior will be tan and white rather than the dark blue/tan/white she sports today, and the main gear will have spats.

Pretending to do it TAC style with the big boys since 1987
Also, we don't need no steenkin' VLATs!
