Only a small amount of work done on the 262 sadly this weekend - bloody paperwork took toll to that!

Anyway, I did manage to get about 1 hour done test fitting the u/c. I've purchased the stunning Barracuda wheels and G-Factor oleos - highly recommended to anyone thinking of building this kit. They are a huge improvement on what is in the kit.

I am getting ahead of myself a little, but it is always so cool to see you model sitting on it's "legs" for the first time.

Looks great, Adam! Where did you get your G-Factor gear from?

Hey Kev

Thanks! Pretty sure I bought the gear legs from Hannants - was a while ago now. The Barracuda wheels are awesome don't you think!

Cheers

Thanks Ray - starting to look like a 262. You're kind, but whereas I use whatever after-market stuff I can get to the best of my ability, Capt. Eric scratch builds a lot of his own detail! He is a master, I'm a wannabe! :D

Nah, you're the boss. But try doing it with the old Hasegawa kit!

Still my favourite build, that one.

Apologies for the thread hijack!

Hey Kev

Been on-site in Whyalla for the last three days - on the tools an gettin' dirty. No apol's necessary ol' chap! See, that is what I mean about being a modelling artisan such as yourself - that is pure modelling at it's best! Now, for further inspiration, can you please post pic's of your finished 262? This is the truly beautiful silver one isn't it in the Czech markings? I bet I can safely speak for many of us in wanting to once again see pic's of this stunning model! That Hasegawa kit is circa 1970's isn't it?

Was it in LSP or somewhere else but someone build a truly stunning all silver 262 in Luftwaffe markings c/w the cream coloured "filler" applied to the seams. Did you see that? It was on a base with one gear leg collapsed - June/July 1945 - something like that.

Cheers

OK Adam, you twisted my arm! Rather than further hijack your thread, I've posted it over in "The Air Base":

I remember that other build you speak of too, so if I find the link, I'll post it.

Small update, but lots of work has transpired in the meantime. Pretty well most of the re-scribing/re-riveting has been finished. Wheel wells are almost finished. Wheels/oleos pretty well finished.
