Revell A350 - Finnair

Show us what's on the bench

Well this one found its way onto the shelf of doom due to ham fisted airbrushing.

So after stripping the wings 3 times I have finally got a coat on I am (almost) happy with, and it will have to do!

The Revell instructions for painting the engine internals seems to be someone's fantasy so I took a pluck at some colours and have moved forward.

All that is left now is leading edge masking and final white coat and glossing of the fuselage. Hopefully that will be drama-less.

Looking great so far Ray! I love the wing shape of these latest gen airliners - seems more "natural" like the blended wing/body that 5th Gen fighters have.

Cheers

OK, so I have been shamed into some progress over on BritModeller. :D

I finished the masking and painting on the engines tonight and could not help myself to start some final assembly.

There is still some paintwork to do and I need to install the leading edge clear parts and finally decals.

Some pictures. The Airbus grey on the engine pylons is still drying so I had to be careful how I handled them removing the masking and fitting them to the wings.

Did some touch ups tonight and could not help but to start decaling.

I did forget that I had not put the main gear doors into the wings

Looks pretty damn good it I do say so myself!

and with a friend that has also just been decalled

So I still need to add all the boring stencils and servicing markings etc... but the light is at the end of the tunnel.

May bring it down to Expo... :D
