Well gents this will wear a Federal Express freighter livery using the registration N586FE.
Why that rego? I hear you ask, well my mate managed to get a tour through that particular aircraft when it visited Melbourne recently and he got some fantastic photos.... and he is the one who has a very very soft spot for these aircraft... hence why I'm going down this track as his Birthday present. However... the only decals I could find... have to come from Draw decal... and that could take some time... so I will get this built and painted up and hopefully those decals arrive in time!

:D

Nice scheme Tim, I think that I will be doing that scheme on the new Eastern Express/MicroMir MD-11 when it is released.

I did the FedEx A300 not long ago and I used Tamiya X16 for the purple on mine and it turned out a pretty good match.

Thanks Ray! you have just confirmed what i suspected to be the colour as close to the Fed Ex purple as possible... thankfully I also have it in my paints collection!
