Two KLM birds

Postby Uros » Sat Jul 06, 2019 8:17 pm

Hi!
So, while paint on my Boeing is drying, I started theese two models.Fokker F70 and Embraer 190, both are 1/144 and from Revell. I got them really cheap and decals were a gift from my friend. With KLMs 100th aniversary comming up it seemed like a good idea to build them.

I've already shortened fuselage on the Fokker to get the F70. 15mm in the front and 14mm in the back. I got the info on the internet, so if it's wrong it's not my fault :D

Here's how they look like now. Wings are not glued on yet.

I'm keeping it simple here and hope to build this as close to OOB as posible.

Thanks for looking in!
Cheers!

Sorry Uros not good enough - after your Airfix 732 you have set a precedent and you have to drop, droop, and cut open everything to detail it to the hilt from now on.

It's your "punishment" for being so brilliant.

Oh no, not this time. I'm keeping it simple. I did some work on them, but there is not much to show. Fuselages are primed and I'm rescribing some panel lines. Will post pics when there is something to show.
Cheers!

Just a quick update. I have the wings glued on and gaps filled. Also started with the engines. So far it's going well.

Agree with you Ray, I like the colours too.
I've begun with painting. Light gray on wings, white bellies(although it should be offwhite) and blue on top. To mask the line for blue, I coppied the decals and cut out dark blue lines, to help me.

Thats it for now.
