well another new project on the bench while waiting for the tankfor the F7F.
it's an accurate minitures Avenger with a lonestar firebombing conversion.

the conversion is really sinple...leave the rear canopy and turret off and cover them with a resin piece....and saves having to do half the interior :o

after assembling the wings and tail i thought i'd try dry fitting them....it's a big beast indeed.

I figured this would be a big model in 1/48 scale Paul, Looks like you are off to a good start. How is the fit of the resin?

Which scheme will you dress it in?

Hi Ray
it isnt much smaller than the F7F.
the resin fits pretty well and saves me putting in half the interior,,so thats a good thing :o

and i learnt something this weekend..the sliding section of the cockpit is two sections and can slide separately and therefore the kit one is two piece........so i fitted the section between them....hope to get paint on it this weekend.
