sea fury VH-BOU Airfix 1/48

another project started..the new airfix Hawker Sea Fury in 1/48.

the markings the kit will be painted in....though a bit more green going by my research.

the cowl assembly ..didnt have any problems with it(though i do have a barracuda one for my next seafury)

it's an unusual assembly pattern but works very nicely

upper wing panels on

gunports filled and sanded
so far this has been a great build...i may get more done over the next couple of days.

Pity Airfix didn’t scale it down to 1:72.

well a bit of progress....she is painted after a bit of looking at different greens i went with Gunze IJNAF green seems to be the closest.

and a busy weekend i got the decals on it...i was worried as the decals seemed to have a reaction to the coat of testors decal bonder buy they seemed to settle down nicely.

it's a great kit to build and with a little extra it will look incredible.

Your models are the evidence that there's a lot of military aircraft that can be built as civilian. And how nicely you build them!
