Some paint has gone on to both, though it resulted in some more seam work required on the CC2

A lot of masking required on the CC3

And removed

There is still some more colours to do as well as touch-ups before decals

Decalling started and I have stuffed it up already

The MA decals we also not very opaque on the wings, I might lay a second set over the roundels and union flag, fortunately, 2 sets were included

The result of my thumb upsetting the drying decal on the nacelle

It does not look too bad from a distance

The CC2 is ready for decals, the from end looks a little shabby, hopefully, a flat coat will hide it a bit

I have had enough of the issues with these builds and trying to finish them up. Decals were a real pain as they had to be cut up to go around the engine stub wings, they also bled when setting solution was applied. Paint touch ups of the decal are a mess as I had had enough of the build.

The CC2 may also be finished this weekend.

So I was chatting to a mate in Canberra (thanks Pete) tonight about the CC2 and dreading the decalling process because of those damn cheat lines. And then it hit me, why use them? why use the decal sheet at all?
Now it has become a What If scheme with simplified decalling. A dive into the spare decals and a bit of addition to the parts count resulted in this

Some masking and painting to finish that stage

Masking off and some additional antennas fitted

A touch of paint on those bits ( which needs some tidying here)

And the decals, inspiration for the markings came from a PC-12 I did a couple of years ago in a similar grey scheme which is currently operational with the Finnish Air Force

Once the decal sealing coat finishes drying I will clear glue the cabin windows
