The reason I ask is that I leave to TVL this Sunday and don't want to leave the masking tape on for a month, but I've already painted the front black. Or should I remove the tape and remask it when I get back? Decisions, decisions :? :? :?

As long as the enamel is dry Paul , you will be right to spray the Allclad .

I sprayed the Alclad chrome on the Hurricane today. It came out ok but there was a drama. When I pulled the masking tape off it'd left marks. The pics explain it better. There won't be anymore done on this as I'm going to TVL tomorrow. Hopefully the 2 weeks after I get back will be enough time to fix and finish it before expo.

A bit of a polish with micromesh ought to get rid of those tape marks, Paul..

Really Damo? Thanks for that :) The wings are worse. I'll try the micromesh when I get back. It'll need some paint touch up around the cockpit that's for sure :)

Ok peeps. Long time no see. I'm trying to get this finished while I'm home this time. Last trip home I repainted the whole thing bar the shiny cowls. I've got all the decals on including the DamoDecs rego's which went on pretty well. Once they are dry I'll use the Alclad clear over the top. Then I'll mask and paint the wheel wells and finally the shiny cowls. I hope they come out better than last time as there won't be any repainting if it turns to shit. Anyways here's a couple of pics. Once again thanks to Damo for doing the rego for me :)

Looks a lot better on the computer than on my mobile, Paul! Glad the decals worked ok....I was sweating on that a bit, I gotta say! :D
