Show us what's on the bench

Just finished construction of the V2 sunshade. I'll let the glue cure over night then give the joins a bit of a clean up and sand before giving it a coat or two of paint.

As you can see compared to the prototype on the left, it's considerably shorter and not as long. The corner reinforcements are smaller too.

Any tips on how to do the tissue canopy would be appreciated.

Next bit of scratch building for this is a Type F Bomb Trolley, and I thought that would be it beside the revetment walls I have planned, but then I saw this photo tonight and think that the tow bar might be on the cards too.

Added some colour to the shade and trolley, then tested out the tissue paper tarp technique on the prototype. It trims up ok but I think I could have used a little more white glue in the water/glue mix.

Hi Troy,
Very interesting built you are doing, and great scratch :)

I have started this Airfix Canberra but back in the box now due to other priorities, also that I stuffed up the little side window that goes at the navigator side, so I need to find something to replace it, Airfix doesn't have a spare.

We should see this one at Expo?

Thanks for the advice Paul. I did as you recommended and you're right... for once. SMART ARSE. :P

I've also painted up some wooden timbers to go a top of the trolleys I-beams to match my reference photos. Just need to add some wood grain effect before I attach them to the trolley.

Possibly Michel, I won't know for sure until I see how my Revetment walls and concrete hardstand turn out. I should start on the walls Wednesday. Off to see American Sniper tomorrow night.

Thanks Ray, and thanks for again for the kit and letting me show my non civil work here.
