Not an airliner in this circumstance but used by Chevron Oil for resupply of prospecting, drilling and production crews in their Canadian operations.

Looking at this picture reminds me what a rubbish background I have, but having posted it, I'll leave it here until I take a couple of more decent ones.

Very nice indeed Ed and thanks for sending me a photo of her last night. Can I have your permission to upload her to the Gallery??, (once it's functioning properly).
She would look great on the A/CAM display table at Expo this year :D .
Even "back in the day" Boeing built a hell of an aeroplane. There is a little bit of 247 DNA in every modern Boeing airliner flying today.
The Williams Bros kit is a nice little build.

I'll take some better photos for the gallery, and yes, I'll bring it along to Expo.

Yes I quite like the WB kit - straightforward kit of a straightforward aircraft soon swamped by DC-3 mania.
I have done one other and have one to do - a Lufthansa one but that means new engines which I can't borrow from anywhere.

These guys didn't quite get it right

http://www.horakl.de/Fahrzeuge-Flugzeug ... 1-200.html

I suspect they do a range of 247's with only the colours changed whereas in reality they were quite a heterogeneous lot.

Edit - Any help with the Lufthansa one most appreciated.... more pictures, colour scheme etc

Lovely model, I had the pleasure many years ago of looking over an old 247 at Boeing Field Seattle. I would love a model of this type.
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times... I remember when the air was clean and the sex was dirty..
