1/48 RAAF C-47B

Nope not mine, but one of dad's. It's the old monogram kit that dad cut the cargo doors open and put a toy jeep inside (no such thing as the Tamiya jeep which sits next to it back then). It's showing it's age a bit as it is older than me. The aircraft is A65-83, VH-CIZ and was built off a picture from my maternal grandfather took while he was stationed in the Pacific while he was with 36 Squadron. My grandfather was meant to be flying back to Darwin aboard this aircraft when it went missing somewhere over the Timor Islands, December 19th 1945.

Nice, really nice!!!
She sure has that "hard-worked" look about here.
And she is even carrying a "VH" rego :D .
What's the significance of the gorilla sitting behind her??

It's something mum bought and that dad put in his study. It's also older than me.

It too is a lovely "model".
And here I was thinking it was a "King Kong" diorama :D .
I wonder what scale the big monkey is??? (I am thinking not 1:48 :D )

Great model built by your father there Brad..love these kind of builds.
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times... I remember when the air was clean and the sex was dirty..
