Qantas Boeing 747-238

Postby tor lives » Sat Apr 26, 2014 9:22 pm

Hi folks,
Here is my 1:144th Airfix Qantas Boeing 747-238 in the unique "Boxing Kangaroo" scheme. This was the aircraft used to bring home the America's Cup following Australia's 1983 victory over the Americans in this most famous of yacht racers. One of Australia's proudest sporting moments.

Nice work Ray. Although I didn't think it was that controversial!

Did you paint the orange stripe? If you did what is a good match paint wise?

Great model Ray, can't wait to build some of my jumbos.. The finish on your models is superb, is it just future or clear gloss?
It's hard for me to get used to these changing times... I remember when the air was clean and the sex was dirty..

Nahhh....ochre cheat line is decal as supplied on this Hawkeye sheet.
