SAAF Mirage IIID2Z, RZ and EZ from PJ-HPM 1/72

Hi Gents,

Here we are, after all these years, I finally finished my 3 SAAF Mirage III. It took me so long as I got some other priorities to built, some challenges in my personal life, and everything that could go wrong when building a model pretty much happened with these once. Murphy's law, and of course few of my own silly mistakes.
It seems that the SAAF Mirages got so much mods and upgrades in their working lives that it is quite hard to be sure the model is exact based on the camo scheme, the era and the different antennas and detectors all around the aircraft. So I tried my best with what I had in hand.

The models are from the PJ-High Planes Models range. Decals for the D2Z and RZ are from PJ Production. I used the MAV decals + some from the spare box and PJ Production for the IIIEZ.
The Resin jet exhausts and seats are from High Planes.
Not much to say about the built, a great model can be achieved with a minimum of care.

I hope you enjoy my SAAF "strykysters" and they sure does look great next to my Cheetah D.

I agree with you Graeme, Marcel Dassault was saying that a plane has to look good to fly well...he sure know how to design good looking aircraft...that is after the war, as before, under the Bloch name, we can say that some of their planes were not what we could say very good looking !
