Both good 3 footers, better than the bin I guess. Chippy second aircraft I ever flew in at Moorabbin 1971, a RVAC machine have no idea of the rego. Bugger of a colour scheme at 1/72, be great in 1/48.

The Wackett, tragically lost in the desert for years (the real one not the model) pilot perished after landing when fuel was exhausted miles off course.

I know how you feel Wally, I get that way with a lot of my builds.

But on the bright side they look great over here in the Eastern States and will add more colour to you display case :D

Two lovely little builds Wal....and just perfect for our new Model Expo category :D .
That is indeed a sad story that goes along with the Wackket, but your build is a nice tribute to the lost aeroplane driver.

They look great Wally. Is the Chippy the Airfix kit? Well done anyways :)

Really nice looking models. I'm glad you had to do the masking rather than me.

Masterful work Wally - very nice indeed. Always nice hearing a bit of the history with your builds.

Cheers
