   ...so the island hopping didnt happen.....but more importantly the Aussies were more involved,early in the was port morsby was taken...and taking back PNG took alot longer,so we went through Burma and into china to boot the Japanese out.....so the morotai mutiny didn't happen,Caldwell held his position through out the remaining years of the war,and with the reequipping of the RAAF the tired whirlwinds were replaced with DHA built DH hornets....the DAP beaufighters were replaced with A26's .
