Manchukuo Imperial Air Force Tachikawa Ki 55

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

Manchukuo Imperial Air Force Tachikawa Ki 55

This is the Fujimi kit in 1/72. It's painted in gunze Japanese orange yellow with the Manchukuo roundels masked and painted with my compass cutter. It's not a bad little kit, but some attention needs to be paid to the windscreen which is probably the worst fitting part in the kit, but it scrubs up alright with some elbow grease. It certainly is bright, so I won't lose this on a contest table!

Very good job of a nice little aircraft. Particularly like the Panel lines.

Must look out for one of these. Had one years ago but sold it off with the rest of the Japanese stuff I had.

Cool. But which one is correct?

Eventually I'd like to get around to doing a Swedish one (as well as never giving up hope of one day seeing the real one they have at Flygvapenmuseum) :
