A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

aaahh model clubs always setting you a challenge...........so an expo display model ..and old Hasegawa PS-1/US-1.

iv'e been working on this for over a month and it's finally starting to look like it might just come out ok.....the fuselge had a big twist in it and getting the lower font hull to meet up has been fun ...BUT it's getting there

for those that dont know the PS-1 was designed as an ASW flying boat in the early 60's and is interesting as it is a full STOL flying boat ..it actually has 5 engines as a small jet engine is used to control the boundary layer...it was later produced as a SAR amphibian and an improved version of that is currently in service with the JMSDF as the US-2

Looks great Paul, looking forward to seeing it in the display.

I have had this kit about 5 times in the stash and I have gotten rid of it. I will see if I can hunt down another cheap one, I would like to build on as the US with the newer engines and props.
