263 squadron westland whirlwind

my latest finished rebuild.....the next off the rank of models i was given at expo.
the Classic Airframes 1/48 Westland whirlwind it was built and mostly complete....it was missing prop blades and a couple of small parts (though it has no interior) i stripped back the paint and repainted it in a very early scheme with a half black underside the decals are from my own classic airframes kit in my stash the prop blades are cut down P39 ones(thank you eduard)..pretty happy with the finished model.

It looks lovely, I'm very partial to Whirlwinds, like a lot of people I suspect. An Australian Whirlwind?

thanks...yes the silver one is an Aussie one 85 SQN Perth

Very nice. I also really like the silver version- must find myself a 1/72 Whirlwind kit and some Aussie decals.
