Cuban Revolutionary Air Force Spitfire Mk XIV in 1/48

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

Cuban Revolutionary Air Force Spitfire Mk XIV in 1/48

From the depths of my mind, a weird place at the best of times, but I was a little bored with the RAF options in the kit. I picked this up for 5 bucks at Model Expo, so it makes the perfect kit to do a 'what if'. I used some decals from the spares box, along with etch seat belts and some spare 60lb rockets. It's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility as the Cubans did fly a variety of ex WW2 aircraft, including Sea Fury, A-26, Kingfisher, Thunerbolts, Mustangs and Lightnings.
