A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

A 1/48 ICM P-51C done as a 3SQN RAAF aircraft during WW2. The kit is almost a direct copy of the Tamiya kit but they have changed a few things compared to the Tamiya kit which does make it a bit more difficult to build. This model included quite as few firsts for me. Airbrushing, using AM bits (Seat, wheels, exhaust) and different forms of weathering. I really should have tried not to do so many new things at once but it was fun. This was my first entry in expo and I managed a commended with it. After seeing the other models there I definitely overdid the weathering. Live and learn huh :)
