1/72 Frog Percival Proctor done as A75-1 (NP336)

A place for our military aviation modellers to show their stuff. It may not be civil but it still has a home here

1/72 Frog Percival Proctor done as A75-1 (NP336)

Bought this a little while ago to fill a hole in my ADF collection and thanks to Al King I have now been able to finish it off in the markings of the Governor Generals flight Proctor circa 1945. Al made me the replacement serial decals as I inadvertantly threw the ones I had out. Although given the serial A75-1 it retained its civil registration NP336 (note civil  ). This aircraft was later sold on and written off in a fatal crash in the 50s. The Moorabbin Proctor which is done up in the markings of A75-1 is infact inaccurate in a) its anti glare panel addition and b) its RAAF markings/serial.

Here it is in civilian markings. It retained the GG's crest which the then DCA did not approve. The crest was later modified to an oval shape.

what a great pair of Proctors, great to see these old kits

Sorry to add one small point though NP336 is not a civil rego, but the original RAF serial Number

What a charming little model Andrew.
Really unusual kit that you don't see every day, and in a very interesting scheme.
And Fred your lovely little build completes this Proctor story perfectly.
Nice gents...very nice indeed :D
