Zvezda Boeing 757

A place for sponsors and other manufacturers to advise A/CAMers of the "good stuff" to come

Zvezda Boeing 757

With Zvezda about to release the Tupolev 204, I happened to spot their next project in the PAS Models forum:

Not all that surprising since Zvezda have a group licence on Boeing airliners from the 737 up to the 787 - this was just the only one left unkitted until now!

A slight erratum on my part. I have since been informed that this in fact a PAS Resin model, not Zvezda.

However, one of the fellow posters who has a contact at Zvezda did say they still plan to do one. :D :D :D

The PAS resin one looks nice, and at least looks like a 757, unlike the Minicraft one, I have an AA one must get stuck into it, and would dearly love for Zvezda to get a decent plastic one on the market

One thing that struck me about the 757 was fact that the cockpit is set lower on the fuselage, but the step down in the cockpit is very small, probably only 50 mm

Well now,

Despite my earlier false start, it is now OFFICIAL - Zvezda is definitely doing a 757 for 2021... :D

Thanks for the news, I've been thinking about making some more 757s but really wanted a decent kit before making any more. This gives me something to look forward to in 2021.

If FROG stood for Flies Right Off the Ground then the horrible Minicraft 757 will become the FRIB 757 where FRIB stands for Flies Right Into the Bin!

Well done Zvezda.

Compared to the Minicraft Electra and 707 kits....their 757 kit is a highly refined piece of art.
I certainly agree though, that Zvezda is our "knight in shinning armor" and has come to the 757 rescue.
