Love the box art of the Argy C-130 being buzzed.
The Skyflash and Sidewinder missiles would be plainly visible.
That would put the wind right up the Argy Herc drivers, given that one had already been shot down by a Harrier

Picked this up from the LHS yesterday. That makes for a total of 4 in the stash. It's the 2020 re-issue.

I found myself at Benalla Air Museum this morning....had an interview for an instructing position at the aero club.
In the museum, there was a large number of models for sale. I couldn't help myself, so I slung them $200 and grabbed a few.

Monogram 1/48 Catalina (I discovered recently that my great uncle flew Catalinas during the war) and Miller SNJ
Aeroclub 1/48 Chipmunk, DH60, and Avro Tutor
Special Hobby 1/48 Fairey Firefly 4/5
Inpact Kits 1/48 Deperdussin
Matchbox 1/32 Spitfire Mk 22/24
Pretending to do it TAC style with the big boys since 1987
Also, we don't need no steenkin' VLATs!

After moving over 600 models to the new joint I'm not very enthused to add more kits to the stash. I've set myself a self imposed limit of 3 kits bought this year and I will endeavour to honour said limit. That limit is however subject to change at any moment   Anyways this is the first kit I've purchased in months and it turned up a few weeks ago. This will be VH-AMY that I went for a fly in years ago when I was doing FIFO to Townsville. Got it for well below retail which is kinda cool as well.

Gotta get me one or two of them..

In the meantime, I bought two of these:

A little different from what I normally would buy, but they're not really for me.
My youngest daughter wanted to build a model car, so I thought it would be a good idea to get two models of the same thing to build with her. Daddy/daughter stuff, you know..
Also, they came with a mini bike too..

Just arrived from Hannants are the Eastern Express Convair 880 and BAC 111. Unlike some earlier kits from them these kits are very well engineered and moulded - almost to Zvezda quality but on smaller sprues - so I look forward to making them I think these kits are expensive for what they are, but they are almost worth it, and what other options do we have?
