Poor old FNS went tits up today. Thankfully the pilot is ok. For those that have the Roden kit in 1/48, FNS is an option. I've seen aircraft a few times and it was always immaculate.

Oh no.
I saw this beauty in the flesh in a hangar at Wangaratta about 10 years ago.
Such a graceful and fast looking thing.
Tragic. Parts for this aeroplane must be getting more & more scarce.

I really hope the owner had her insured or if not, has the funds to return her to the sky one day.

Big OUCH! Read in PPRune that the pilot was injured, but OK. I'm sure this majestic bird will return to the sky one day - it's just too rare and special. Sure, it's going to cost a bomb - whether to the owner or insurer. Anyway, the pilot walked away from this one, so all good.

Here's this beautiful aeroplane at PCK earlier this year - just goes to show that we should appreciate these wonderful aeroplanes whilst they are flying - ya never know when their time may be up!

The other thing I have learned is never put off getting photos of the aeroplanes you love whenever you can.....cause what is " boring, routine and common place" today will be gone tomorrow. I regret not getting more photos of 707s, BAC 111s, Falcon 20s, Falcon 900s, HS-748s, 737-300s, 737-400s, A300s, 767-200s, 747-200s, 747-300s, 747SPs etc, etc, when I had the chance. Now....I must go and get more photos of our 767-300s and 747s before they leave QF for good.

Plenty of opportunity in your new role and new location! Get snappin' with your camera. No regrets! Know exactly what you mean though. Many times I've thought, I'll get a shot of that next time, only to hear that the aeroplane (and sadly sometimes the pilot) isn't around anymore No excuse these days to be totally snap happy with these wonderful flash memory cards.
