Southern Model Club Show report.

Postby BradG » Mon May 01, 2023 12:37 pm

Southerns model show has been run an won over the weekend and I think it's safe to say it was a success. There were about 60 entries from around 10 modellers, which is a little down on previous years, although we did have a couple of regulars who were in hospital and a couple of others unable to attend for various reasons. One disappointing aspect was the lack of any junior entries, which is a shame as The Model Emporium in Cheltenham had offered some sponsorship for the category in the form of Airfix models.

Swap and sell was well attended, both in terms of sellers and buyers. I picked up a few bargains and I saw a low of kits going out the door so I think everyone was pretty happy with the day. I know Southern was also very happy with day and stay tuned one model show might make a bit of a comeback later in the year....More on that soon. Onto some models...

Best of Show as voted by the public was the IJN Kongo in 1/350
