Hi Ed,
I have no problems with thread drift....it's been my experience both here and at that other well-known model site that thread drift can sometimes generate the most interesting, enjoyable, and thought-provoking discussions.

As for Tamiya...the may be generally well-engineered, but their range...*yawn*

I have found half a dozen Tamiya kits of interest in their range of ?100+ in 1/72 - Mosquito, F4U, Il-2 etc where they are better than other makes. However the Airfix Mustang is slightly better and considerably less expensive. The chance of them making a 2 seat Spitfire is rather remote.

I was meaning the 1/48 Tamiya P-51 Ed. I agree with you on the 1/72 Airfix one though mate. I love that little kit :)
