Great photos Knotty....I should really try to get airside more often than I do, just for the simple pleasure of looking at aeroplanes from the ground up.
The trouble is that it is a nut house inside the Termianl everyday....and this tends to take up most of my time.
It is worth remembering that it was a 767 (VH-OGD) that introduced the new style Qantas livery with the re-designed kangaroo back in 2007.
This was no accident as the brand re-design was a Geoff Dixon, (the then CEO), initiative.

I remember seeing the new OGD livery on it's debut in Sydney. A staff member near me mentioned OGD sttod for Oh GoD. In reference to GD and the gawd aweful new roo!
Anyhow, I spent yesterday chasing the last 767 movements around Tulla. Was a great day. Here is a small vid. Cheers Tony

Yeah....I initially was not a big fan of the re-designed roo but it has sorta grown on me. Mind you I really am very pleased to see the flying kangaroo with it's wing back in place, flying around on the retro 737 :D .
Great vid Tony....thanks for posting.

I got EAQ about 10 days before the last 767-200 flight in Australia
very poor photo due to the green glass in SYD domestic terminal

Knotty,

I still reckon we all should have a whip around and by the young bloke a nice tie.
The one he's got on looks like a bit like a scrap imitation of an old airliner seats upholstery

Wayne,
now ducking for cover.

I am surprised you blokes even know what a tie is

PS: but yeah I agree....the colours and pattern would not look out of place on a DC-8 or 707 , which is probably why I like it

So if your tie looks as though it has been made from the seat fabric of a 707 it must be a retro tie. Retro is all the fashion these days, as another threat here demonstrates. That probably means you should wear it proudly.
