While talking about the museum, we have both Open Cockpit Day on October 9th and Wings Model Show on October 22/23 this year.

I'd advise booking for cockpit day, there will also be a lot of raffles throughout the day with some great prizes. From 9am sharp. Link to the details below on Facebook.

Wings flyer is below. Special categories this year are RAN Fleet Air Arm aircraft and a WW1 category to coincide with the museums WW1 display. Also on the Sunday we will have the annual Mustang car club attending with over 100 Mustangs of all types. I'm sorry there isn't a civil aircraft category, but I'm not opposed to including one in future.

Wow a model show I'm actually in the country for. Gotta love that. Now hopefully there'll be a 1/32 Tamiya F-16 I can buy there :)

Oh you reminded me, I should also have mentioned we are having a small swap and sell over the show as well, for those who wish to add more plastic to the stash.

A couple of announcements for these events.

For Wings, I must extend a thanks to our sponsors; Scale Magic and ModelArt Australia and also for the support of Pakenham Scale Model Club and Southern Model Club. Our little swap and sell will be rather well catered for, so make sure you pack some spending dollars.

For Open Cockpit Day, the museum will have Roulette 4 attending, with a display and a meet and greet after. We will also have a Sikorsky S 76 for the day thanks to Jayrow.

Just picked up the trophies. Our Best of Show is voted on by the entrants. Just who will we give the bird to this year? :)

I will have to get down to one of these one year, haven't been to the museum in years.

The Museum has changed a lot in the last few years that I have been visiting, Ray. It'll likely be a whole different place for you.

Looks like it is unlikely that I will have the Phantom finished in time for this year, Brad. Too much to do and so little time. Still I should have a few planes to enter. I'm looking forward to it.

Still not sure I'll get to Wings yet. Definitly won't be at the Open Cockpit Day as I will have my arse parked in front of the TV watching Bathurst all day :)

They'll have Bathurst on the TV in the entry building Paul. You could park said arse at the museum and enjoy the best of both worlds :P
