Many flying events cancelled due strong winds, weather otherwise nice. Having autofocus problems lately, I'll have to do some research and get to the bottom of the problem.

Some beautiful shots Wal!!! (love seeing the DH-88).
I note on some of the Tiger moths you have photographed that there seems to be some kind of "reinforcement structure"?? on the empennage area.....what is this???

I am pretty sure that this mod was available right back in the early days of the Tiger Moth. I have a dim recollection that most Air Forces were happy for their trainers to be able to spin like tops and so did not use the mod, I Have a couple of Tiger kits in the stash of various scale and have no idea whether they have them as an option or not, something I'd not ever considered before but now have to look at depending on the subject I am going to build

cheers
wal

The Matchbox 1/32 kit, and the new-tool Airfix kits have them as an option.

The anti spin strakes were a stupid Pommy idea that doesn't really work and they're deadset ugly to boot. I you wanna see an even uglier Tiger Moth mod check out what the bloody Dutch did to the tail

Yep......I must admit, the anti-spin strake certainly detracts from the simple, clean, lines of the Tiger Moth design.
