With up to five 737-700s to be converted, it seems a market does exist for firebombers . Like Ray said , look at all the different types of tankers now available.I smile every time I see one , because I know what the experts are thinking.

There was some classic lines at times . My favourite being no air cranes in the country as proclaimed by one of the experts, only to be told they were at Essendon airport . and he was the Fire boss for the Western region at the time ........yeah right , pull the other one .

Those air cranes have been making the trip as long as I can remember..

That is not necessary. Just the satisfaction of routinely seeing LATs/VLATs in our local skies is good enough for me.
