Yes big NRL fan, can't understand AFL, and the scoring leaves me scratching my head, so when it's on, I like to search for decent Rugby games or NRL
Yesterday afternoon was the Grand Finals of the Queensland Intrust Super Cup, and for the first time ever PNG Hunters won, was a truly great game they didn't get in front until the 78th minute.

About as interesting to me as watching grass growing - almost as much agony as watching test cricket! Sorry Brad - it's of course different strokes for different folks. NRL looks to be slowly dying in my opinion - given equivalent crowd numbers. By all means correct me if I'm wrong in this regard, but NRL doesn't remotely command the following at games that AFL does.

One thing that massively shits me is the advertising on the ground itself. This is appalling in NRL in my opinion and makes it practically unwatchable. I really don't need to think about whether I want to change phone services, buy a certain brand of car or booze or what-fecking-ever whilst trying to make out just who is moving down the ground against this background advertising on the ground itself - this shits me no end! Monday morning rant over!

Crowd numbers don't mean a lot in the end, and it's mostly in Melbourne that big crowd numbers happen, the big one to show that was the recent GWS v WCE that had under 15k compared to the Matildas who got a record crowd at Penrith of about 17k, go Matildas!!
Was the lowest crowd for an AFL final since 1916

and if NRL is supposedly dying what about the Sate of Origin, the biggest TV event in the country
