lufthansa super star project.

rumor are circulating that lufthansa are pulling the pin on the restoration of the stunning Lockheed L1649 project that is approaching completion in Auburn Maine.
it would be such a shame for it to get this close and fail.

it seems it's being moved to germany later this year....i wonder if it's gone from flyer to static?...again i hope i'm wrong...this has been one of the most invovled restorations taken to date.

It would be nice to see it flying across the Atlantic, just for nostalgia reasons, I'm OK with either static or flying, but prefer flying, and if static, def undercover

I plan on going back to the QFM in Longreach again this year on my way down to Brisbane for QMHE to see where they are at with the restoration of their Super G, which has a great importance to me, as the Connie was the first aircraft I ever flew on back a little while ago in Dec '58.
