Strange, very strange and to paraphrase you know who ...

can a Techo Geek "Please Explain"?

I was wondering what was going on with my email so on a multiple address email I added myself and Return Receipted it.

Here's how it went during the day :

Sent at 0918
Received at 1114 (i.e. 1 hour 52 minutes to get to myself!)
Return Receipt sent at 1157
Received Return Receipt 0255 (again i.e. 2 hours 58 minutes to get back to myself!)

I can only think Telstra is corralling e-mails from Pleb Customers during high traffic times and then releasing the herd when either traffic is lower or they feel like it. Other than that I can only think they have adopted an Australia Post Management inspired treatment of e-mails and only deliver every second or third hour like AP deliver now only on every other day?

Any enlightened ones out there in the "know"?

My suggestion would be to have a gmail account and not an ISP based email account.
Hope this helps.

Wayne.

Try sending with a Higher priority, Outlook allows you to select the 'importance' of the email. Making it 'high' does route it faster.
