Surely the market out here just isn't big enough to support so many smaller airlines. I mean if it wasn't for Ansett collapsing Virgin would have been in serious trouble.

Explains why I haven't seen the EMB145 taking off for a little while now, they used to do FIFO flights out of here

You wonder why anyone tries to break into the domestic market. It's been basically a two airline business since Ansett bought out ANA way back when (since Tiger and Jetstar are owned by Virgin and Qantas). There has to be more fun ways of losing millions of dollars than trying to launch another domestic.
