Hi folks.. Go home tonight and give your wife, sweetheart, family etc a big cuddle and tell them you love them..just got word this arvo of a Captain mate who's got an uphill battle with the big C.. He's my age with a loving wife and 4 loving kid.

Times like these makes you realise how important family are.. Not just family though, close friends.

One of he the nicest guys I know in aviation, was a great FO to fly with and I was thrilled when he got his command.. Now this..

I am deeply saddened to hear this.....and it sort of puts things in perspective for me, (suddenly just losing a job doesn't seem like such a big deal after all).
Know that my good wishes and hopes for a quick recovery go out to this aeroplane driver and his family.

That's no good Stu , sad to hear it .......no doubt I have spoken to this Captain at the fuel panel at some stage . It's always the good blokes that cop it . Your right mate , good friends and family are worth their weight in gold if you have them .

Very sorry to hear this about your mate Stu. Yes, it does put everything going on in our lives in perspective and yes I will give my loved ones a big cuddle tonight.

Never good. I've seen first hand how suddenly it can all be taken away - several times, so I make sure to tell my special ones just how special they are.
