It was announced during the summer, great to see it is now official.

There is a chap on one of the Firebomber FB pages who was doing a set of decals up for that particular aircraft. Not sure how far along he is to releasing them though

And some said this would/should never happen and small fixed wing and helo fire bombing plus ground tankers was enough - alrighty then! :?

Hi Adam.

I think we may have earned the right say "I told you so" Wayne. Adam wrote.

I for one am a damn side more happier that this Tanker argument has finally entered the realm of common sense. No, it still probably wont fix the problem 100% as one aircraft can't be every where at once.
If our miserable Governments spent some dollars and had something to show for it like this set up in every state then I'd be even happier. Victoria is the bush fire capitol of the world.
I live in a small rural area and if I get caught out by a fast moving fire front I'd be more than happy to be deluged by a Niagara Falls drop if it reversed the danger. :D
I'm not interested in the politics, just saving lives and property is all I'm interested in.
Wayne.

Nah, no need really - the argument was won long ago. It was more a observation. Common sense prevailed and more assets have been added to the mix which is great to see. The argument all along was that there is no one asset that can do the total job. It's getting warmer with longer fire seasons and bigger and faster aerial assets have proven their worth here despite some so called "SME's" voicing otherwise in the past.

Young Wayne, I haven't been called that since Moses played half back for Jerusalem Ray.
