Ok, how about this for the ultimate A/CAM members syndicate warbird! It's super loud and it's Russian - only two owners, low hours and a messily $3 Million! This is the ultimate machine to turn AVTUR into noise!
Ray, you might think your beloved 707 is loud - how about a Tu-95! Did you ever see any in your travels?

Imagine A/CAM CABAL Airlines painted on the side of this baby!

I did. RIAT 1994. Shit nearly 20 years to the day. Man time flies. Got the pilots sign my little poster which is still on my wall.

Not my pic but it flew over first with two Tornados as escort. I think there was a tanker with it as well.

Did you see it fly? If so, how loud was it?

Yes I did. It wasn't loud like a jet but you could feel the pressure waves in your ears from all of those props trying to stay in sync.

Imagine being inside one for many hours on end as those pressure waves continuously hit the side of the fuselage - somewhat annoying I'm guessing!. Come to think of it, not the most "civilised" mode of transport - Ray, I do agree, the ol' 707 is far more civilised! The Bear would turn some heads at a airshow though. Wonder what fuel burn would be like comparing the Bear to a 7-Oh? Both would be horrendous I'm guessing.
