if you don't look! Just back from a remedial, therapeutic, holistic weekend up at Daylesford/Hepburn Springs. Apparently it was necessary to take the family away for a couple of days over the school hol's - something to do with getting away from the 'burb's etc. So off up to the freezing misty hills we went. Whilst I may have Initially questioned the "benefits" to me on this quest to recharge our "inner wellness", whilst up there I did check out some local bookshops and hit the mother lode! For less than $100, I came away with an armful of books including:

- Bluey Truscott by Ivan Southall - 1958.
- "Scooter" - The Douglas A4 Skyhawk Story (beautiful Crecy book)
- "The Wright Brothers"
- "The Spirit of St Louis" by Charles Lindbergh - 1953 1st Edition.
- "General Instrument Equipment For Aircraft" a very old technical book (circa 1930) on aircraft instruments. My father's first job was as a apprentice for Sperry Instruments in London, working on artificial horizons and directional gyro's built by Sperry. Somehow falling into my father's footsteps, I ended up a "Instrument guy" as well, so I love these old technical books on instrumentation.
- The Charles Kingsford Smith Story.

My "inner wellness" is now fully recharged thanks to these book purchases! :D

That's where I got the Bluey Truscott book - great book shop. The 5 other books were all at that small Lake bookshop - know it? Looks like I got there just in time before other A/CAM'ers sniffed out these joints! There's a cool collectables shop just down the road - lots of cool car stuff. Wife hurried me outta there before I bought anything.

Hey Knotty

You probably know about this pub, but some friends advised us to check out the "Farmers Arms Pub" for a meal. It is outstanding! As you enter town, hang a right at the roundabout on the road to Castlemaine - it's just on the outskirt of town.

Cheers

Adam
