A Postcard From Duxford

My outstanding run of luck of good weather at airshows was finally broken this weekend. Showers, low cloud and grey skies made photography very difficult, much adjustment of exposure settings, f stop shutter speed and iso was tried to get to get the aircraft reasonably exposed, with sharp images but with some prop blur evident... mixed results were achieved, the sky is mostly washed out and invisible but the subjects are mostly ok. some bad shots actually came out nice artisticly (to my taste anyway):

Very nice, we a planning a trip to the UK in 2018, just need to decide on which airshow(s) to attend while over there.

How are you getting around while you are there Wally?

Always great to, see those biplanes, so nice of the Gladiator pilots to roll them over so you could get shots of the top
and Spitfires, ahhh

Hi Ray,

we always hire a car during our stays, we book cars through easycar.com, much much cheaper than getting them the regular way, plus you get a free extra driver and we have been upgraded with better cars on every occasion.

Yo admin 'dude! I'll try and restrain myself lol

Further to my earlier mention of some poor shots that actually had some artistic merit, I played around with photoshop and came up with these.. I would love a black t-shirt with these either of these pics on them
