My Akro models to date

Postby Adam the Akrodude » Mon Apr 14, 2014 3:06 pm

Here are my aerobatic aeroplane models to date.

1/48 AZ Models Zlin-50M (about 98% finished)

Image

1/72 AZ Models Zlin-242 (major eye damage done trying to build this tiny model!)

Image

1/32 Airshow Models Pitts S-2B (best Pitts S-2 Model in any scale I think). These kits may resurface in the future through Fisher Models.

Hey Ray,
My Pitts is a few years old now. A very fun build, except for the very thick and brittle decals. Next year I'll build the late Jim LeRoy's Pitts S-2S "Bulldog". It will be good to see these kits resurface through Fisher Models- genius kits!

Hi Ray

I'm also hoping to park my Pitts on the apron of your stand at Expo - it's in your major sponsors colours if that helps!

Hey Adam. Cracker Pitts mate. Was it a hard kit to build remembering I'm a lazy prick? Ta mate

Nope - pretty easy for a bip. Bit of warping, witling, bogging and sanding which is typical of resin kits - much the same as say the Fisher Sea Fury. Hopefully Fisher will be releasing these re-hashed Airshow Models kits again - keep your fingers crossed.
