New Mach2 1/72 DH Comet and 1/48 Mercury/Redstone rocket

Postby Michel » Tue Nov 27, 2018 9:43 pm

Hi Everybody,

As usual, Mach2 made a bit of a surprise at Telford by releasing a brand new 1/72 DH Comet 4C,
He also added a new 1/48 scale US rocket in his collection with the Mercury Redstone rocket.

I am going to place an order to Mach2 in the coming days, let me know if there is something you would be interested in.

I still have few Jetstar in stock, Argosy, a York, few 1/48 US rocket, some Falcon, a big 1/72 Soyuz TM-12...

Yeah I know Wal , but I honestly don’t mind them that much . Are we modellers or not  some of the stuff you have beaten into submission would make a Mach2 kit a walk in the park !!

Hi David,

Wait until the models are here and available for the payment.

I calculate my selling price based on how much the cost me to buy of course, then the shipping cost, taxes, my margin and the exchange rates of the day, so I won't have an accurate price before I have all these data in hand.

Also, you probably know that most Mach2 models sold worldwide as a packaging style "everything in one bag", the sprues, clear parts, decals etc...so the risk that something is damaged is here and I don't really want to send it as it is to my customers. So I bag everything separately, it does look much better I would say, when you open the box, but most importantly, it allows me to have a first check if there is nothing missing, broken, or the decals damaged. So I need some additional time for that.
Of course, me being not perfect, far from it, I still managed to sale a Falcon with the missing main clear part  so had to get a spare one from Mach2, which is not an issue at all.
To give an idea of my own Mach2 packaging, bellow is a photo of what you will find in the IPEC ARGOSY in case you buy it from me, so all specific parts in their own bags.

Cheers,

Michel

Gotta love that comprehensive IPEC decal... :P

I was a little worried when I first heard that Mach 2 were releasing it (because I was halfway through designing the Hawkeye offering at the time), but now I see that potential Hawkeye sales won't suffer at all.

BTW, I'm just finishing the instructions... 8-)

Keep an eye on the "Product Announcement" forum Michel. Cheers!

Hi Scott,

Peter told me about the Hawkeye offering for the IPEC, he also sent me some low dpi pics of it so I can publish them on my Facebook page. You are doing a great job and sure it will definitely bring a very nice option for decaling the Argosy :)
