my little memorial for Graeme H.

as it has sunk in that Graeme has passed on i wondered what i could do to remember a friend not only online but once a year when came down for expo ...and i looked at my stash and found a kit i had bought off him a few years ago...so now i have started a Revell Takara P1Y1 Ginger has been started...and for a 1973 kit it's better than i thought.

interior painted with tamiya Cockpit green....i planned on using the new SMS range of IJNAF paints on this but the Tamiya is closer to the correct interior colour.

other than tape belts this is all out of box.

Nice work man. He'd be chuffed. I'll be doing the same once this moving crap is over. Though It's gonna be hard to choose 1 model from all the ones I purchased for the legendary Emporium :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

well another weekend over and with lockdown on i couldnt leave the house ,so i got a fair bit done on the P1Y1.

i used the new SMS Aotake for the wheel wells and it really looks the part and sprays very nicely.

well a couple of weeks later.....and a whole lot of progress.

the undersides painted in Alclad Duralalumini um and masked for the control surfaces to be painted in IJNAF grey

i started the weekend with her in paint and decals.....so Saturday i gave her a satin coat .
