Airfix 1:144 Boeing 737-200 Challenge Build: Re-intro

Airfix 1:144 Boeing 737-200 Challenge Build: Re-intro

Hi all,
So, in addition to the new 707 Group Build, as another activity to try and keep all you A/CAMers interested and engaged, I have resurrected and re-introduced the
Airfix 1:144 Boeing 737-200 Challenge Build .
The challenge, as before, is to build the Airfix 1:144 Boeing 737-200 kit.
She is an old kit but, with some effort and TLC, she can be made into a decent model.
As with the Group Build, participation in this activity is simple.....just open a thread under your name, and keep it as a live and running build progress diary.
Some of you may have already finished a 737 from when the Challenge Build was originally introduced, (Brad for example), and, if that's the case, please feel free to re-post here as inspiration for others...while other A/CAMers may have made a partial start, in which case, lets dust em off and get back into it.
This Challenge Build will run from 01 May 2022 until 01 May 2023, (although that end-date is subject to change based upon whatever time you guys need). My intention is, through a group vote, to award a prize for the best 737 at the end.
I will also contact Airfix to let them know what we are doing in case they are interested, and want to get involved at some level.
Finally guys, if I can just ask.....please get involved, and if you do commit, please follow through. Too many times in the past with these things, they have died a slow and painful death through an initial flurry of enthusiasm, followed by apathy, then complete lack of interest.
So let's go!!!!

Just read this bit :

"The -200 was rolled out on June 29, 1967, and had its maiden flight on August 8, 1967. It was then certified by the FAA on December 21, 1967. The inaugural flight for United Airlines took place on April 28, 1968, from Chicago to Grand Rapids, Michigan."

So this year is 55 years ago. Hopefully that might interest someone in Airfix (or even Boeing)?
