Here's the latest goodies to arrive here. Since I've run out of Boeing airliners that need my attention I'm moving on so I've got decals for a lovely Air New Zealand DC-8-52 and an Ansett-ANA Electra and six sets of JT9Ds for more Douglas DC-9s. Much fun awaits.
The McLaren was a pleasant and amazing surprise to find at something like PX.
Mauri only produced about a half a dozen F1 cars from the 1974 and 75 seasons. The ones I really want to see/buy are the Brabham BT44 and the Tyrrell 007.
Who does the Char de Rupture in 1:72? Years and years ago I started to scratchbuild one in 1:76 but didn't get far with it as I got carried away scratchbuilding two Char Bs in 1:32 and 1:35 (Yes people can thank me for the Tamiya kit many years later!).
so my expo buys...the new AMK 1/72 Kifir a 1/48 Hasegawa P40-e "prisoner of war" a 1/48 Hasegawa KI61-tei and a fime molds 1/48 D4Y1 Judy...a nice haul....and the week before expo my civilised models 1/32 BD5j arrived
Here's the kits that I picked up at the Expo swap n sell. All totally expected. The F-27s kits are not quite as good as the new Eastern Express one, but a hell of a lot cheaper. I have some Hawkeye Qantas Cityflyer decals for the A.330 and the Potez is extraordinarily rare and I would have paid ten times the asking price to get it, so that was a bargain. Downstairs I picked up some Hawkeye Airlines of New South Wales and Airlines of South Australia decals for the F-27s.
The Boeing 747-400 will be a Qantas 747-400ER, The 737-800 will be be a Wedgetail using the Hawkeye conversion kit, the book on the HMAS Melbourne is for research for one of my two HMAS Melbourne builds, as is the HMAS Melbourne FFG patch.
