Why? I've seen enough brains on windscreens, blood and exposed bone, enough human suffering that I dont need to discuss it in a public forum - quote whatever "facts, studies, or statisics" you want = I've seen reality. Thats enough.

LOL ah well. Don't feel too bad, lots of people lose a discussion to me each year.

Actually Brad, as the independent adjudicator of this site, (by virtue of being it's owner :D ) ...I'll give this one to Raptor.
So just reiterating then, that is Raptor 1 and Brad 0...based upon Raptor's real world experiences.
When you have achieved what he has mate...perhaps you may one day be in the same league as him :D .

Sorry Ray, but what Raptor is doing is called an argument by authority. It's an argument designed to dismiss facts presented when you are unable to effectively counter them while attempting to shame the person without authority or one who lacks credentials in the discussion topic into not replying. It's not an argument that relies on facts to support it and indeed, Raptor has presented no facts or even common sense statements to directly counter any points I've made. He even overtly says he's ignoring any facts, statistics or studies presented. Well, if you're going to do that, the least you can do is present some of your own, but the best that could be presented was a personal insult and as I always say, the person who resorts to personal insults is a person who's run out of rational counter argument. Now I'm not belittling anything he's seen or done, not at all, but I am saying that without context, it's irrelevant to the discussion. I remember saying the same thing to someone else and I remember you agreeing. How quickly you forget.

Brad....you have clearly misinterpreted my previous statement as an invitation to continue this discussion....IT WAS NOT.
That is ENOUGH.
When I or anyone else here needs lecturing from you, given your extensive life experience and contribution to society  .... rest assured I will ask, until then remember that this is a model site...MY model site, not your own personal soap box, (as I have told you before....if that's what you want then have the balls, drive, and commitment to start you own site). How quickly YOU forget the emphasis I, (and indeed the A/CAM Code of Conduct), place on the word RESPECT.
It is my considered opinion, (and that's the one that counts on this site my friend), that you have been dismissive of and consequently disrespectful to Raptor, his position, and his point-of-view.
Are you hearing me Brad?????
The membership is clearly tiring of your BS Brad, just like on so many other sites!!!, (see above post).
You can consider this the final word on the matter.

Good on the RACV for looking at the data and suggesting the speed limit be increased on the Geelong Road to 110. Well done guys! I hope VicRoads can see this is a good move too.
