Oils is oils Ray - love it!

Guess that's why I'm groovin' on big radials at the moment - they spit a lot of oil. Oil washes are so easy - for adding grime and fading as well.

Nazdrovje Adam. I toast you to a very well executed model ! This fine effort will delay the chance of a trip for you to the salt mines by a further year ! ;)

I'm impressed, when the model stood next to the photo of the real thing it was not immediately obvious which one was the full scale one.

Very nice mate. Look forward to seeing it on the table next year.

My Ex Fast jet driver mate was very humbled by all the attention that he got as well.

Thanks guys. Nice to actually finish a model - first for a year! Such is the complete lack of "Adam" time I have these days.

I've big plans for Expo 2016 and will not leave everything till the last minute this time. I've got the Modelling Mojo back!

Cheers

Very nice Adam. I'll have some more Yak pics after next weekend. There are now 3 Yak 52s at Maitland plus one of those big Pitts with a Yak engine and prop in it.

Thanks Ross

Please post those pic's of the Yaks at Maitland. The Pitts with the 360 HP M-14P (round Russkie engine) sounds like a Pitts Model 12. They are a total beast of an aeroplane and I'm sure has scared the pants off many a pilot! That's a whole lotta engine up front (both weight and power)!

Was it one of these?

Yes Adam, that would be the one. In fact I have a couple of pics of it with the cowling removed on my mobile phone. Now I just have to work out how to get the pics from the phone to my photobucket account and I'll post them here on the forums. You probably know the owner, Paul Bennett. Paul has been very gracious and helpful towards our Air League Squadron at Maitland and does what ever he can to help us out. If i see his hangar doors open and the lights on on a Friday night I always go over and ask if the cadets can come over and see what's going on and he never refuses us permission to do that. In fact he'll sit and tell us what's going on, where he's up to with his various aircraft projects etc. a really nice down to earth man who has a young son so has time for us in the Air League.

Regards,
RHB.
